Today, instead of working on scheduled Blog (and much needed) updates, I spent time making patchwork. My breaks, about every hour or so, were then filled with visual candies. I researched the newest quilting blogs. It's been a year or so since i obsessively read blogs on a frequent basis. I'd forgotten how inspiring it is to witness others fabric creations and progresses. How could i have forgotten the ocean of amazing talent before my fingertips???
The problem lies in how long i look and how little i do. That's a constant battle. And i have no excuses! I have no children. And i am off of work for the SUMMER. So what the heck, now has never been a better time to kick my own ass into high gear.
To celebrate the idea of being a productive textile artist once again (not that I'd stopped, I've just really been sucking at updating the world with my progress) I've decided to challenge myself with a few things.
- blog EVERY day this month. (That should help build a habit)
- join & participate in an online Quilting Bee (I want to start my own soon, I need practice)
- finish a quilt (or more!)
This should get me off to a good start. Tomorrow, whilst it's a MILLION degrees outside, I'm really truly going to work on the Blog appearance. I made a new banner yesterday, but still haven't finished it. Till then.
Now i do believe I'm going to go make an experimental Gin cocktail and finish cutting these lovely plaid blocks.
Goodnight
